Have a guilt-free slice of this KETO chocolate cake! It follows the Keto principal of low-carb and high-fat. In one serving, there are only 3.4gms of sugar, and that's not from refined sugars, and a total of 10.9gms of carbohydrates.
Danielle took a while to come up with this recipe. Her aim was to make a cake as delicious as Izzy's chocolate cake which we have in store every day, and this cake hits the mark. This dark chocolate cake is covered with a chocolate cream cheese frosting.
What makes it low-carb? Danielle has used a combination of alternate sugars, Stevia, Xylitol, and Erythritol, and has used almond, linseed and coconut flours. So yes, it's also gluten-free, however, we are not a gluten-free kitchen and cross-contamination may occur. The cake is dairy free, however, the cream cheese frosting is not.
Why the extra expense? Alternate sugars cost 2500% more than regular white sugar. And alternate flours, like almond flour, cost 1270% more than regular cake flour.
The 10" cake serves approximately 12-14 people. It depends on the size of your slice. With this cake you can make the slices smaller because of the higher protein content (21.2gms in a serving) - it fills you up faster.
Please keep in mind our cakes are all hand-made and will vary in appearance, including the decoration. We do have chocolate birthday disks available for an additional charge.
The nutrition panel provided is for a 10" Chocolate Cake. The nutritional panel excludes the decorative dark chocolate squares.
